In September 2023, I had an email from a contact in Worcestershire, who wished to remain anonymous. He wrote:
My fiancé is wanting to find out more about the Land Rover she has recently inherited from her father. I noticed it features on your SFX database but no more information is there beyond a previous owner.
I replied with what sketchy details I knew, and he subsequently sent me these pics. He and his fiancé don't know a 'Stan Taylor', so there is clearly a gap in the ownership to be filled in. The vehicle looks to be in fine fettle.

Soon after the car was offered on eBay with a Classified ad price of £38,000.00, due to end on October 10th.

In mid-April Ian Harding wrote:
I am now the very proud owner of SXF598 having only just taken delivery on Friday 12th April. It is in original condition, having only ever had minor wear and tear repairs, [and] remains a perfect runner with 44500 original miles. The chassis is original albeit two of the outriggers have been replaced. It is a soft top, has the holes in the rear side panels and brass plate on the inner wing, no holes on the bonnet lip either.
I’d like to try and find out as much as possible about the vehicle whilst I return to fully original concours condition.
