Nigel Bartram provided these pictures, and reported:
I believe this was a soft top vehicle originally. It found its way to Alidair Airways Scotland and was fitted with a truck cab from a 107 pickup by them. I have a photograph in this configuation with a Vickers Viscount in the background — looks 70's.
I believe Mr G.Jardine (the previous owner) fitted a full hard top as a more suitable vehicle for transporting his static engines to shows. He kept the Truck Cab and I bought this from him (and a canvas top and spare engine). I found the truck cab suited me best, warmer and better visibility, probably the same reason Alidair converted it. I also have to thank them for the alternator conversion.
Engine, Gearbox and Axles are all original. In theory so is the chassis (like the council worker who claimed to have had the same brush for 10 yrs — only had 8 new heads and 5 new handles!). Bodywork is a mixture — the doors are of 2 different patterns and one of the front wings is from a 86". However all in good working order.
