Advertised for sale LRO 8/02 as "SERIES 1, 1957, 86" (!). Parabolic suspension, Range Rover diffs, 2A engine with Weber. Rewired, a fortune spent on this much loved vehicle. Totally reliable. £3750".

A lorry driver stopped me recently and assured me that he used to drive 692 at Bedford Fire Station where she was sent from the Auxiliary Fire Service around 1964, she was then transferred to Dunstable Fire Station.
I throw money at her whenever she needs it and don't begrudge a penny!"
