Possibly once owned by Toby Gard, creator of Lara Croft. He was filmed driving it (roofless, with roll cage) in a TV profile.
I've since found (July 2015) that Toby was not the owner, but had borrowed the vehicle for the shoot. I'm hoping to get more information about the then owner, and perhaps get some pics. I've also heard that the registration is now on a VW! Does the LR still exist?
I've found a note that also links 769 to Malcolm Yule, of Kirriemuir, Scotland, but it's very old, and may be out of date. I'm investigating.
