Owned by Lee Ivatt, previously owned by Arthur Hale and Stephen Marsh. Not the original engine?
Stephen Marsh wrote (02/11):
I am the proud new owner of SXF816, although I did pick it up using a car, trailer, dustpan and brush! Unfortunately, it will need a new chassis/bulkhead, but I think I should be able to salvage most other parts, although I know it will be a long haul.
It would seem that the 'haul' proved to be too long for Stephen, because in August 2011 Lee Ivatt wrote:
Yesterday I purchased SXF816. It has been dismantled, but 90% complete with all its original parts. I believe it was a hardtop, possibly a radio vehicle.
Lee hopes to make a full restoration.
WARNING — the following pictures are not suitable for those of a nervous disposition!
I have subsequently found a folder of pictures of SXF816 on my computer — who sent them I don't know, but they seem to have been taken some time in 2010.
I would guess that Lee has his work cut out!
