SXF839

In LRSOC Legend 172 (August 2013) Adam Singleton put in the following Classified Ad:

SXF839. 1957 88" Station Wagon, hard top with side windows. Very original — still has original petrol engine, gearbox, SXF ex-Civil Defence check pattern seat backs in front and rear etc. Vehicle has been stored in a dry ventilated garage since 1991, and engine has been turned over regularly using starting handle. Good chassis and bulkhead.

Vehicle would need to be collected on a trailer, and new owner would need to be a Series One Club member and agree to store vehicle in a garage, and not break, or sell original number plate.

In the next Legend (173) the ad was repeated, but Adam had added a rather ominous extra line:
Engine has a fault, and is burning oil.

We await diagnosis and developments!
