Advertised for sale on eBay, October 2016. Seller wrote:
The Land-Rover has been owned by my dad since about 1969 — he bought the vehicle off the MOD*. He originally used the vehicle as part of his car repair business, but the Landy has been parked up in his workshop for about 35 years... I am in the process of clearing the workshop.
The vehicle has had only 2 owners — the first was Civil Defence, the second my dad. It comes with its original buff-coloured registration document showing the first stamp when new. The Landy is currently has a new MOT with no advisories on it.
The mileage was recorded as 76,246, with the vehicle based in Swansea. The Buy-it-Now price was £21,500.00!
*Would have been Ministry of Supply, not Ministry of Defence. I'm also not sure about the blue lenses in the bonnet-mounted warning lamps... before the days when blue signified 'emergency', these lights were amber. Looks a fair restoration, though.
