I used to own 850, which originally came to me as a hard top in 1992 or thereabouts. I added a soft top and did a variety of other work, but it was stolen from my house in Leeds in 1995. It took another 4 years to find it again — you can always recognise a vehicle you've worked as closely with as I had. It turned up near Halifax, West Yorkshire with a new number plate. Absolutely nothing had been done to it in that time — it was even still wearing the same bar grip tyres I had been about to retire years before! I passed on the details to the insurers, but that is the last I heard of it. The young lad who had just bought it had plans — I hope they came off, and she's still out there somewhere.
