I purchased this LR in 1994 for £500. I still have the old logbook, but a new one was issued in 1971, when she was owned by a farmer. He apparently restored her and regained the registration. She was sold to someone in Wigan, from whom I bought her after not very long.
Since I have had her she has had a new rear axle, then in 1998 (following an incident when she fell off a trailer) she had to have a new chassis, and (whilst we were at it) bulkhead. The engine may not be the original, and the gearbox was replaced around 1996. For a while I had been using her every day, but she is currently off the road with a failed wheel bearing.
