He went freelance in 1985, setting up Teeafit Sound & Vision in an old granary at the farm he shares with his wife on the edge of the North York Moors.
Passions include the rural life and scenic beauty of East Cleveland, the Moors and Coast; Sheepdogs and Land-Rovers.
He serves on the Committee of the North East & The Border Centre of the Royal Television Society, and is Vice-Chairman of Moorsholm Memorial Hall. Other memberships include the Woodland Trust, National Trust and International Sheep Dog Society.
