FilmingNow that broadcast-quality cameras are available at realistic prices, TSV has invested in a Sony PD150 kit, which is small and versatile, but of high quality. All forms of commission will be considered, but rural community projects with limited budgets are a speciality. |

Once the video material has been shot, TSV's sophisticated Pinnacle Edition non-linear edit suite can mould it to suit your requirements. Graphics and other visual effects can easily be incorporated to illustrate complex points, and give the production impact.
The facilities are also available for post-production of existing material. All formats, from VHS to DVCam can be handled - others (such as BetaSP) can be incorporated with prior notice.
Having started his broadcasting career in Radio, Graeme Aldous is particularly concerned about the quality of the sound in TSV's productions. Acquisition is by PortaDAT, with a range of boom and radio mics to suit.
Facilities are also available for the location recording of choirs, bands and other musical groups, and the preparation of audio cassettes and CDs. Clients include The Yangchin Group (from Hall Garth School, Middlesbrough), The Dalesmen Singers, Marske Fishermen's Choir, and Cleveland Police Band. Other audio productions include the making of atmosphere tracks for permanent exhibitions at Sutton Bank Information Centre and The Moors Centre in the North York Moors National Park, for Beamish Museum in Co.Durham, and the Woodhorn Colliery Museum in Northumberland.
TSV regards the post-production of audio material as being just as important as picture editing. A SADiE computer editor gives the ability to assemble and enhance the most complex audio tracks, from simple voiceovers (which can be converted to data files suitable for CD-Rom use) to a full radio feature or Audio CD.
Examples include 'Charlie Is Me Darling' (a soap opera drama for BBC Radio Cleveland), and 'Sounds of Botton' for the Camphill Village Trust.
The equipment has also been used to improve the audibility of recorded material for use in a court case, and to settle a dispute about what was actually said in a disciplinary tribunal.
Having lived and worked in North East England for over 30 years, Graeme Aldous has a very extensive knowledge of the area, and a great many local contacts. This is particularly detailed for East Cleveland, the North York Moors and Tees Valley, but essentially extends from the Tweed to the Humber.
